Zenthai Shiatsu is a movement-based bodywork offered in a safe, awake and caring healing environment. It has evolved from unique integration of the traditional energetic based systems of Zen Shiatsu and Thai Massage together with remedial techniques of Osteopathy to offer effective structural and energetic therapy that is inherently holistic and individualised.
Zen Shiatsu: balances Ki via Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), 5 Element theory and acupressure (acupuncture without needles) and may include cupping, moxabustion and lifestyle advice
Thai Massage: releases muscular tension and energetic blockages
Osteopathic techniques: facilitates joint mobilisation and fascial unwinding of connective tissue patterns via WuoTai and craniosacral work.
Yoga Therapy offers people, including those experiencing a wide range of ailments or disabilities, guidance and personal tools that they can use to enhance their life. It is suitable for everybody, regardless of age, fitness, state of health or belief system.
In Yoga Therapy a personal practice is prescribed according to the physical, emotional and physiological needs as well as the particular circumstances of the individual. For example, a practice may be designed simply to maintain health and fitness, or to help remedy asthma, a back or knee problem, an hormonal issue, an emotional disorder, a chronic physical or psychological condition or disability, to enhance sports prowess or to facilitate meditative practices.
The art of Yoga therapy is to combine and modify a selection of the available tools of yoga in accordance with the needs of the individual to achieve specific outcomes. Each personal practice must be logically planned and prescribed in accordance with the needs of the individual, their attributes and personality, and where they are at the time they commence, and their longer-term goals.
Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy & the Body’s Intelligence
Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST) is a gentle, subtle and non-invasive holistic natural touch therapy that is beneficial in treating a wide range of conditions and can bring about profound healing at all levels (physical, mental, energetic and emotional). This whole-person approach acknowledges the inter-connectedness of mind, body and spirit and the innate movement towards health, vitality and wellbeing.
The underlying foundation recognises the ‘breath of life’ and the art of the therapist is to connect with this underlying force of health, thereby facilitating a process of natural reorganisation in an environment that is deeply relaxing. BCST is client-led, meaning that the individual’s system sets the pace at which the work progresses.
